Vpply was launched in 2020 with the aim to cut the recruitment cycle for employers from weeks to days by eliminating mass CVs and viewing an immediate shortlist for their listed jobs via video applications.

Jobseekers can instantly showcase their personality, strengths and passions and apply for jobs through short application videos.

Vpply has seen tremendous growth going from 4,000 job seekers in January 2021, to 12,000 in just 3 months and has listed over 15,000 jobs through establishing key integration partnerships in Australia and abroad. Whilst the initial focus has been on hospitality and retail jobseekers the site has organically evolved to many other sectors.

AI Technology in Recruitment

Vpply has introduced a voice to text tool for jobseekers, giving hiring managers a unique way to pick up keywords from candidates. Vpply has over 10,000 browsable jobseekers and they can now be searched for by using the keywords from their profile videos which is a huge asset to hiring managers in a candidate poor market. Jobseekers are able to depend less on text whilst applying for jobs, resulting in reduced time cost and assured application efficiency. Various other features are in development, such as facial detection/recognition, sentiment guide, word counter and engagement metrics based on behavioural observations to name a few.

These projects are focusing on both sides of recruitment, increasing the chance of landing a dream job for jobseekers with constant improvement as well as finding the right candidate for the role as efficiently as possible for the hiring manager/recruiter.

Recent Highlights

Vpply has secured over 50% of the pre-seed capital raise and has been generating recurring revenue since March.

The Vpply team attended RCSA’s Talent X conference in June ‘21, participating in the PitchFest for startups to over 400 recruitment leaders generating fresh leads.

Doug Laird has joined as the Head of Sales. Doug previously managed the ANZ Government relationships at Indeed which included the Department of Defence.

Vpply’s latest integration partners Idibu and Broadbean are live on the site allowing companies ranging from Hertz, Landlease, Commonwealth Bank and Amazon to post on the platform.

About Vpply

Vpply is a web application that allows candidates to apply for jobs with a video profile. The concept of the technology came from addressing the lack of human connection at the first stage of the hiring process – job search.

Their aim is to disrupt the traditional text job board space and provide jobseekers tools to attract top employers with authentic and inspiring stories. The recruitment industry has awakened to the potential for video to grow a personal and company brand, turbocharge social recruiting, build diversity, showcase Employer Brand content & so much more and Vpply aims to be there every step of the way.
